At Bedrosians, we love partnering with talented designers who bring timeless spaces to life. This month, we’re excited to spotlight MK Redesign, a design duo known for blending practicality with beautiful, lasting interiors.
Founded in 2019 by Molly and Kirsten, MK Redesign focuses on interior design projects, remodels, additions, and new builds. Their work centers on creating timeless spaces that clients will love for years to come—and this contemporary Scandinavian kitchen is a perfect example.
A Warm Scandinavian Kitchen Transformation
When MK Redesign’s client approached them about updating her kitchen, the goal was clear: create a space that better supported her family’s lifestyle while reflecting a warm, modern Scandinavian aesthetic.
The existing kitchen lacked the warmth and functionality the family needed, so the design team began by establishing a foundation of warm white oak cabinetry. From there, the vision focused on creating a kitchen that felt light, bright, and natural—while still maintaining warmth and contrast.
To achieve this, the team selected Celine tile, one of Bedrosians’ most loved collections.
Why Celine Tile Was the Perfect Fit
The creamy, warm tones of Celine tile paired beautifully with the wood cabinetry and the soft veining in the countertops. Its subtle variation added texture and depth while maintaining the clean, modern feel the space needed.
For this project, the designers selected the 2.5x12 Celine tile for the backsplash, creating a look that feels both modern and timeless.
From Vision to Reality
This transformation resulted in a kitchen that feels welcoming, modern, and effortlessly bright—perfectly suited for everyday living and entertaining.
Balancing Warmth and Contrast
One of the key design challenges was achieving a modern look while preserving warmth and depth.
MK Redesign accomplished this by thoughtfully layering materials and finishes:
- Warm wood cabinetry for natural warmth
- Light countertops and backsplash for brightness
- Contrasting elements through the island, vent hood, and hardware
The result is a beautifully balanced space designed to be enjoyed for years to come.
A Standout Design Detail
One of our favorite moments in this project is how the tile was carried up and around the window above the kitchen sink. Instead of traditional wood trim, the Celine tile wraps the window, creating a seamless and contemporary focal point.
Brass accents—featured in the island lighting and vent hood—add warmth and elegance, completing the Scandinavian-inspired palette.
Trends We’re Loving
We’re excited to see designers embracing:

- Natural materials and stone-inspired porcelain tile
- Rich colors and playful pattern combinations
These elements continue to shape timeless interiors that feel both fresh and familiar.
